Information society

After this first two fun weeks in Karlskrona was it time to start with the first module, information society. We divided the class by ourselves into ten groups (five persons in each) after what country/part of the world we wanted to research. I chose northern Europe because my interest in Germany/Holland for a possible future internship. The people in my group was only people I knew pretty well, which was good in one way, but bad in another. Have to think about this in the next module…

Well, everything turned out to be easy in our group; we had the countries Holland, Germany, Russia, Belgium, Austria, and Schweiz and we divided them after our personal interests. I got Germany, which I am happy for! We were now responsible for our own country, and this made it easier to search for good agencies and send mail to them that we had written together earlier.

We thought this would be an easy assignment, but started to worry a bit after some days with only two replies. We were stressed to, because of three more assignments at the same time… After one week we started to call the agencies that never replied our mails. I was lucky and got tree interviews. It was worse for Kim in my group who had Russia… We recorded the calls on skype, and it was easy to listen to them afterwards. They turned out to be worse then we thought though. The information from the written emails was better with more facts and thoughts behind, and the spoken ones was more easy and similar to each other.

Now we are going to put everything together to the deadline on Wednesday 12am, and also a 20 minutes presentation to Thursday.
